This Weekend’s Open House Picks

We’ve rounded up some of the more interesting open houses happening in and around Ditmas Park tomorrow and Sunday. Any thoughts on these places?

CONDOS & CO-OPS

415 Argyle Road, Apt 2T
List Price: $269,000, $558 maintenance
Size: 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom
Details: This co-op just off Cortelyou is certainly well-located, and the building features laundry facilities, a common garden, and parking spaces, bike storage, and other storage for rent. The listing says the unit’s kitchen and bath have been redone, and while we can see it in the bathroom, the kitchen is not what we were expecting. For the prospective homeowner who’s sick of the same old granite countertops and stainless appliances, though, it could be just right.
Open House: Sunday, November 10, 12-1:30pm

515 E 7th Street, Apt 1N
List Price: $500,000, $861 maintenance
Size: 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms
Details: This corner unit features parquet floors, an updated kitchen, and a private terrace, plus an en suite bath for the master bedroom. The building has two elevators, laundry facilities, a storage and bike room, a common yard, and a short wait for indoor parking if you need it.
Open House: Sunday, November 10, 1-3pm

HOUSES

2124 Kenmore Terrace
List Price: $1,295,000
Size: 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms
Details: This beauty at the end of a cul de sac features mouldings, built-ins, skylights, wainscoting, a fireplace, and more. The backyard has room for gardening as well as a patio (so you can BBQ to your heart’s content all summer long), the kitchen has a nice wraparound counter for cooks who need their space, and there’s a full laundry room in the basement, too.
Open House: Sunday, November 10, 12:30-3:30pm

2687 Bedford Avenue
List Price: $1,475,000
Size: 7 bedrooms total, plus 4 full and 2 half bathrooms
Details: This Victorian near Brooklyn College is renovated and squeaky-clean, which doesn’t mean it’s lacking in original details. Its stained glass windows, ceiling beams, and built-ins are breathtaking–and combined with updates like that sleek, chef-friendly kitchen, make for a beautiful and livable home. The basement apartment can be rented out or redone to suit your family’s needs, too–so while the price for the are surprised us at first, at least you know you won’t have to fix anything up, and there’s a potential source of income downstairs.
Open House: Saturday, November 9, 11am-2pm
