This Weekend’s Open House Picks

We’ve rounded up some of the more interesting open houses happening in and around Ditmas Park tomorrow and Sunday. Any thoughts on these places?

CONDOS & CO-OPS

2022 Beverley Road, Apt 7
List Price: $450,000, $775 maintenance
Size: 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom
Details: This unit comes with an updated kitchen and bathroom (including a Jacuzzi tub) alongside classic details like moulding, a bay window, and parquet floors in the living room. There’s a separate dining space for born entertainers, and seven closets for those neighbors creeping up towards Imelda Marcos status. The building (on the corner of E 21st Street) is pet friendly, with a shared courtyard, laundry facilities, and storage in the basement.
Open House: Sunday, October 20, 2-4pm

1701 Albemarle Road, Apt D12
List Price: $619,000, $673 maintenance
Size: 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms
Details: This building between E 17th and E 18th Streets has a part-time doorman, laundry facilities, bike and other storage, and parking available for a fee. The unit itself has exposures on three sides, upgraded bathrooms (one en suite), and some great cabinet space in the kitchen. There’s space for a breakfast nook, and you have the option of using the large foyer as a formal dining area, too.
Open House: Sunday, October 20, 12:30-3pm

HOUSES

803 Friel Place
List Price: $849,000
Size: 6 bedrooms, two bathrooms (between two units)
Details: This townhouse between E 8th Street and Coney Island Avenue is currently split into two apartments, which could give potential buyers a nice boost if they need a tenant to help pay the mortgage. There are some pretty floors peeking out and greenery visible through the windows, but the place does look like it could use at least a cosmetic tune-up. On the bright side, if renovations ever stress you out too much, you can always wind down with a Piña Colada in front of that palm tree mural.
Open House: Sunday, October 20, 2-3pm

551 E 19th Street
List Price: $1,399,000
Size: 5 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms
Details: This 1910 home on the corner of E 19th and Newkirk Avenue has a large yard and two car garage, and though the listing lacks interior photos, it mentions the extravagant details you’d expect from a house like this. Open house attendees will get to feast their eyes on stained glass windows, multiple mantels, built-ins, moulding galore, and a conservatory in the living room–but if they’re serious about buying, it sounds like some functional updates will be required.
Open House: Sunday, October 20, 1-2:30pm
