We’ve rounded up some of the more interesting open houses happening in and around Ditmas Park tomorrow and Sunday. Any thoughts on these places?

CONDOS & CO-OPS

221 E 18th Street, Apt 6C
List Price: $279,000, $595 maintenance
Size: 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom
Details: This top floor co-op just east of the Beverley Road station features five closets, an open kitchen with slate tile floors, and southern and eastern exposures. There’s also bike storage and a communal garden, and it’s thisclose to what’s happening on Cortelyou.
Open House: Sunday, October 6, 2:30-4pm

280 Ocean Parkway, Apt 3M
List Price: $299,000, $613 maintenance
Size: 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom
Details: This unit also has southern and eastern light, plus butcher block countertops, herringbone parquet floors, a sunken living room, and a classically-tiled bathroom. Between Beverley Road and Avenue C, you can easily walk to the F, G, and Q trains. Now, how much more for that amazing furniture?
Open House: Sunday, October 6, 11:30-1:30pm

1600 Beverley Road, Apt 4A
List Price: $699,000, $469 common charges
Size: 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms
Details: A few blocks over from 221 E 18th Street, this modern condo features not one but two terraces, in-unit laundry, granite countertops, and central air. There’s also a roof with a BBQ, and you’ll be steps from Cafe Madeline, Met Foods, Cafe Tibet, and more. Potential downsides: little cabinet space, subway noise (although the easy access to Beverley is nice for commuters, or will be once renovations are finished), and a really cool woody bathroom vanity that we’ll just have to hope isn’t cheap, ready-to-buckle veneer.
Open House: Saturday, October 5, 1-4pm

HOUSES

2419 Glenwood Road
List Price: $899,000, via Brooklyn Properties
Size: 3 bedrooms, 1 bath, plus a doctor’s office downstairs
Details: This home down the street from Brooklyn College was recently reduced from $925,000, which is good since it’s begging for some upgrades. There are some lovely features like an ornate mantel and burl wood stairs, plus a workspace downstairs you could rent out and make your own–but the basement and attic are unfinished, and that kitchen’s not all it could be, either. But hey, maybe the sellers are motivated enough to do something about that.
Open House: Sunday, October 6, 12-2pm
