This Weekend’s Open House Picks

Here’s the weekly roundup of open houses around the neighborhood. What do you think?

HOUSES

295 East 17th Street (pictured above) is on sale for $1,199,000. The 4,500-square-foot townhouse has been on the market for about a half year and the asking price has dropped about $96,000. At three floors, eight bedrooms and four bathrooms, this is one of the bigger properties available.

• Nearby, 287 East 17th Street is on the market for $1,749,000. Boasting five bedrooms, three bathrooms and 4,097 square feet, this 1901 house retains many original details and quite a few extravagant redesigns (such as, say, the master suite complete with Jacuzzi and electric skylights on the third floor).

758 Westminster remains on the market (we’ve listed it a couple of times recently) with the price now at $1,025,000. Corcoran says that the 3-family house can bring in income while still leaving space to live large with a porch, garage, basement and driveway.

CO-OPS

• Located near the corner of Rugby and Cortelyou, 390 Rugby Road #5F has been on the market for over half a year, but the price just dropped to $215,000, a $10K reduction. Listed by Corcoran with a maintenance fee of $585, the location makes it worth considering this 1-bd, 1-bath space.
Open house: Saturday, October 6, 12-1pm

• The 1-bed, 1-bath apartment at 25 Parade Place #3K has seen the price come up from $419,000 in August to $425,000 now, plus a maintenance fee of $612. It was previously for sale by owner, so the price hike may be because it’s now listed by an agent, in this case Ideal Properties.
