This Weekend’s Local Subway Service Changes
If you’re planning to hop on the D train this weekend, you’ll want to watch out past Atlantic Ave, as trains won’t be heading into Manhattan. Plus, the G goes slow again, the N goes local, and more changes to note, via the MTA:
No D trains between 34 St-Herald Sq and Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr
Weekend, 11:30pm Friday to 5am Monday, September 26-29
D service operates in two sections: 1. Between 205 St and 34 St-Herald Sq; and 2. Between Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr and Stillwell Av. Trains run express between Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr and 36 St in both directions, all weekend. Special shuttle train operates every 20 minutes between W 4 St and Grand St, stopping at B’way-Lafayette St. See more details here.
G service operates every 20 minutes between Court Sq and Bedford-Nostrand Avs
Weekend, 5:30am-11pm, Saturday, September 27 & 7am-11pm, Sunday, September 28
The last stop for alternate trains from Church Av is Bedford-Nostrand Avs. Allow additional travel time.
N trains run local in both directions between DeKalb Av and 59 St, Brooklyn
Weekend, 12:01am Saturday to 5am Monday, September 27-29
Allow additional travel time.
No R shuttle train between 59 St and 36 St
Late nights, 11:45pm Friday to 5am Monday, September 26-29
Shuttle service operates between 95 St and 59 St. For 53, 45, and 36 Sts, take the N instead. Transfer between trains at 59 St.
Additionally, look out for changes further along the F, N, and R lines.
