This Weekend’s F & G Subway Changes
Happy Friday! It’s the weekend, which means navigating a world largely absent of the G and other subway challenges, via the MTA:
Starting Thursday:
No G train service north of Nassau Avenue
All times, until 5am Tuesday, September 2
The G is only running between Church and Nassau avenues to allow for the reconstruction of tunnels damaged during Hurricane Sandy. This means that at all times, trains will not be running to or from Greenpoint, 21st Street, and Court Square reconstruction of tunnelin Long Island City. Free shuttle buses will provide alternate service. For more information about transfers, go here.
Coney Island-bound F trains run local from 71st Avenue to Roosevelt Avenue
Late nights, 12:01am to 5am, Tuesday, August 5 through Friday, August 8
Trains stop at 67 Avenue, 63 Drive, Woodhaven Boulevard, Grand Avenue, and Elmhurst Avenue.
Starting Friday:
Coney Island-bound F trains run via the M from Roosevelt Avenue to 47-50 Streets
Weekend, 11:15pm Friday to 5am Monday, August 8-11
Trains run express from Roosevelt Avenue to Queens Plaza. No Coney Island-bound F service at 21 Street-Queensbridge, Roosevelt Island, Lexington Avenue/63 Street, and 57 Street.
Remember, last-minute and unscheduled changes can occur, so be sure to check the MTA’s website before heading out.
