G train


Happy weekend! As you set out this weekend, remember that no G trains are running north of Nassau Avenue, and other changes you’ll need to know about, via the MTA.

Starting Thursday:

No G train service north of Nassau Avenue
All times, until 5am Tuesday, September 2
The G is only running between Church and Nassau avenues to allow for the reconstruction of tunnels damaged during Hurricane Sandy. This means that at all times, trains will not be running to or from Greenpoint, 21st Street, and Court Square reconstruction of tunnelin Long Island City. Free shuttle buses will provide alternate service. For more information about transfers, go here.
Coney Island-bound F trains skip Sutphin Boulevard, Van Wyck Boulevard, and 75th Avenue
Late nights, 11:45pm to 5am, through Friday, August 1
For service to Sutphin Boulevard, take the F to Union Turnpike and transfer to a Jamaica-bound F. For service to Van Wyck Boulevard, take the F to Union Turnpike and transfer to a Jamaica Center-bound E or Jamaica-bound F. For service from these stations, take the F to Parsons Boulevard and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F. For 75th Avenue, take the E. Transfer between trains at Union Turnpike or 71st Avenue.

Starting Friday:

Jamaica-bound F trains run via the M from 47-50 Streets to Roosevelt Avenue
Weekend, 9:45pm Friday, August 1 to 5am Monday, August 4
No Jamaica-bound service at 57 Street, Lexington Avenue/63 Street, Roosevelt Island, and 21 Street-Queensbridge.
Coney Island-bound F trains run via the A from West 4 Street to Jay Street-MetroTech
Weekend, 11:45pm Friday, August 1 to 5am Monday, August 4
No Coney Island-bound service at Broadway-Lafayette Street, 2 Avenue, Delancey Street, East Broadway, and York Street. For service to Broadway-Lafayette, transfer to the D at West 4 Street. For service from this station, take the D or F to West 4 Street and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F train. For service to 2 Avenue, Delancey Street, and East Broadway, take the F to Jay Street-MetroTech and transfer to a Jamaica-bound F train. For service from these stations, take the F to West 4 Street and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F. For York Street, use the nearby High Street Station instead.
