This Weekend’s F & G Subway Changes

There are a couple things to watch out for on the F and the G over the next several days, including no G train between Hoyt-Schermerhorn Streets and Church Avenue through Friday. Details via the MTA:

Starting Thursday:

No G trains between Hoyt-Schermerhorn Streets and Church Avenue
Late nights, 11:30pm to 5am, through Friday, October 24
A and F trains provide alternate service. No G service at Bergen Street, Carroll Street, Smith-9 Streets, 4 Avenue-9 Street, 7 Avenue, 15 Street-Prospect Park, Fort Hamilton Parkway, and Church Avenue. Take the F instead. Transfer between the A and G trains at Hoyt-Schermerhorn Streets. Transfer between the A and F trains at Jay Street-MetroTech. G service operates in two sections: one, between Court Square and Bedford-Nostrand Avenues and two, between Bedford-Nostrand and Hoyt-Schermerhorn.
Jamaica-bound F trains skip Smith-9 Streets, Carroll Street, and Bergen Street
Late nights, 11:45pm to 5am, through Friday, October 24
For service to these stations, take the F to Jay Street-MetroTech and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F. For service from these stations, take the F to 4 Avenue-9 Street and transfer to a Jamaica-bound F. Note: there is no G service at these stations during this time.
Coney Island-bound F trains skip Sutphin Boulevard, Van Wyck, and 75 Avenue
Late nights, 9:45pm to 5am, through Friday, October 24
For service to Sutphin Boulevard, take the F to Union Turnpike and transfer to a Jamaica-bound F. For service to Van Wyck Boulevard and 75 Avenue, take the F to Union Turnpike or 71 Avenue and transfer to a Jamaica Center-bound E or Jamaica-bound F. For service from Sutphin Boulevard and Van Wyck Boulevard, take the F to Parsons Boulevard and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F. For service from 75 Avenue, take theE or F to Union Turnpike and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F.

Starting Friday:

F trains run every 20 minutes between Avenue X and Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue; Jamaica-bound trains skip Avenue U
Day, 10:30am to 3pm on Friday, October 24
Service operates in two sections: one, between 179 Street and Avenue X and two, between Avenue X and Stillwell Avenue. For service to Avenue U, take the F to Kings Highway and transfer to an Avenue X-bound F. For service from this station, take the F to Avenue X, where it will become a Jamaica-bound F. Coney Island-bound F trains run via the M from Roosevelt Avenue to 47-50 Streets
Weekends, 11:15pm Friday to 5am Monday, until October 27
Trains run express from Roosevelt Avenue to Queens Plaza. No Coney Island-bound F service at 21 Street-Queensbridge, Roosevelt Island, Lexington Avenue/63 Street, and 57 Street. For travel alternatives, go here.
