This Weekend’s F & G Subway Changes

This weekend, there are a number of things to watch out for, including that there are no G trains between Hoyt-Schermerhorn Streets and Church Avenue, and Jamaica-bound F trains are running express from Church Avenue to Jay Street-MetroTech. Details via the MTA:

Starting Thursday:

G trains run every 30 minutes between Court Square and Bedford-Nostrand Avenues
Late nights, 11pm-5am, Monday to Friday, October 13-17
Service operates in two sections: one, every 30 minutes between Court Square and Bedford-Nostrand Avenues and two, every 15 minutes between Bedford-Nostrand Avenues and Church Avenue.

Starting Friday:

No G trains between Hoyt-Schermerhorn Streets and Church Avenue
Weekend, 11:30pm Friday to 5am Monday, October 17-20
No G service at Bergen Street, Carroll Street, Smith-9 Street, 4 Avenue-9 Street, 7 Avenue, 15 Street-Prospect Park, Fort Hamilton Parkway, and Church Avenue. Take the F instead. Transfer between the A, C and G trains at Hoyt-Schermerhorn Streets. Transfer between the A, C and F trains at Jay Street-Metro Tech. G service will operate in two sections: one, between Court Square and Bedford-Nostrand Avenues and two, between Bedford-Nostrand and Hoyt-Schermerhorn Streets.

F trains run every 20 minutes between Avenue X and Stillwell Avenue, Jamaica-bound trains skip Avenue U
Days, 10:30am to 3pm, Wednesday to Friday, until October 24 (except Thursday, October 16)
Service operates in two sections: one, between 179th Street and Avenue X and two, between Avenue X and Stillwell Avenue. Transfer at Avenue X to continue your trip. For service to Avenue U, take the F to Kings Highway and transfer to an Avenue X-bound F. For service from this station, take the F to Avenue X, where it will become a Jamaica-bound F.

Coney Island-bound F trains run via the M from Roosevelt Avenue to 47-50 Streets
Weekends, 11:15pm Friday to 5am Monday, until October 27
Trains run express from Roosevelt Avenue to Queens Plaza. No Coney Island-bound F service at 21 Street-Queensbridge, Roosevelt Island, Lexington Ave/63 Street, and 57 Street.

Jamaica-bound F trains run express from Church Avenue to Jay Street-MetroTech
Weekend, 11:45pm Friday to 5am Monday, October 17-20
No Jamaica-bound service at Fort Hamilton Parkway, 15 Street-Prospect Park, 4 Avenue-9 Street, Smith-9 Streets, Carroll Street, and Bergen Street. For service to these stations, take the F to 7 Avenue or Jay Street-MetroTech and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F. For service from these stations, take the F to 7 Avenue or Church Avenue and transfer to a Jamaica-bound F. Note: there is no G service at these stations during this time.
