This Weekend’s F & G Subway Changes

Ugh. Once again, this weekend is not a happy one for those of us taking the subway. There are a number of things to watch out for these next several days, including the Coney Island-bound F trains and Church Avenue-bound G trains skipping 4th Avenue-9th Street, 15th Street-Prospect Park, and Fort Hamilton Parkway. Details via the MTA:

Starting Thursday:

Coney Island-bound F trains run via the A from West 4th Street to Jay Street-MetroTech
Late nights, 11:45pm to 5am, Monday to Friday, until September 19
No Coney Island-bound F service at Broadway-Lafayette Street, 2 Avenue, Delancey Street, East Broadway, and York Street. For service to Broadway-Lafayette, transfer to the D at West 4th Street. For service from this station, take the D or F to West 4th Street and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F. For service to 2 Avenue, Delancey Street, and East Broadway, take the F to Jay Street-MetroTech and transfer to a Jamaica-bound F. For service from these stations, take the F to West 4th Street and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F. For York Street, take the High Street A/C station instead.
Jamaica-bound F trains skip Van Wyck Boulevard and Sutphin Boulevard
All times until 5am Monday, September 22
For service to these stations, take the F to Parsons Boulevard and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F. For service from Van Wyck Boulevard, take the E or F to Union Turnpike and transfer to a Jamaica-bound F. For service from Sutphin Boulevard, take the F to Union Turnpike and transfer to a Jamaica-bound F.
G trains run every 30 minutes between Court Square and Bedford-Nostrand Avenues
Late nights, 11pm to 5am, Monday to Friday, through September 19
Service operates in two sections: one, every 30 minuts between Court Square and Bedford-Nostrand Avenues, and two, every 15 minutes between Bedford-Nostrand and Church Avenue. Transfer at Bedford-Nostrand Avenues to continue your trip.

Starting Friday:

Coney Island-bound F trains and Church Avenue-bound G trains skip 4 Avenue-9th Street, 15th Street-Prospect Park, and Fort Hamilton Parkway
Weekend, 11:45pm Friday to 5am Monday
For service to these stations, take the F or G to 7 Avenue or Church Avenue and transfer to a Queens-bound F or G. For service from these stations, take the F or G to 7 Avenue or Smith-9 Streets and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F or Church Avenue-bound G.
Coney Island-bound F trains run local from 71 Avenue to Roosevelt Avenue
Late nights, 12:01am to 5am, Tuesday to Friday, until September 19
Trains stop at 67 Avenue, 63 Drive, Woodhaven Boulevard, Grand Avenue, and Elmhurst Avenue.

Starting Saturday:

Coney Island-bound F trains run express from Church Avenue to Avenue X
Weekend, 6:45am to 7pm, Saturday and Sunday, September 20-21
No Coney Island-bound service at Ditmas Avenue, Avenue I, Bay Parkway, Avenue N, Avenue P, and Avenue U. For service to these stations, take the F to 18th Avenue, Kings Highway, or Avenue X and transfer to a Jamaica-bound F. For service from these stations, take the F to Kings Highway, 18th Avenue, or Church Avenue and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F.

Remember, unscheduled changes can occur, so be sure to check out the MTA’s website before heading out.
