This Weekend’s B & Q Subway Changes

Here’s to hoping you don’t have to take the LIRR this weekend (though the Daily News is reporting MTA officials and union leaders being close to striking a deal). But, if you’re planning on hopping on the subway, your trip should be pretty painless. Details via the MTA:

Through Friday:

Bright Beach-bound B trains skip 182-183 Streets
Rush hours, 5:30am to 9am and 4pm to 7pm, through Friday, July 18
For service to this station, take the B or D to Tremont Avenue and transfer to a Bedford Park Boulevard-bound B or a Norwood-bound D. For service from this station, take the B or D to Fordham Road and transfer to a Brighton Beach-bound B.

Starting Saturday:

Q train service is extended to Ditmars Boulevard
Weekend, 7am to 9pm Saturday, July 19 and 9am to 7pm Sunday, July 20
Service operates between Stillwell Avenue and Ditmars Boulevard.

Remember, there can be unscheduled changes, so be sure to check the MTA before heading out.
