This Weekend’s B & Q Subway Changes
B train by Beverley station

This weekend is going to be a cruel, Q-less world. Enjoy our Q today and tomorrow during the day, because, as of 10:30pm Friday night, there will be no Q between Prospect Park and Coney Island. Details via the MTA:

Starting Thursday:

145 Street-bound B trains run local from Sheepshead Bay to Prospect Park
Days, 9:45am to 3pm, Wednesday to Friday, until September 12
Coney Island-bound Q trains run express from Prospect Park to Sheepshead Bay
Days, 9:45am to 3pm Wednesday to Friday, until September 12
Trains stop at Church Avenue, Newkirk Plaza, and Kings Highway. For service to Parkside Avenue, Beverley Road, Cortelyou Road, Avenue H, Avenue J, Avenue M, Avenue U, and Neck Road, take the Q to Church Avenue, Newkirk Plaza, Kings Highway, or Sheepshead Bay and transfer to a Manhattan-bound B or Q. For service from these stations, take the B or Q to Kings Highway, Newkirk Plaza, Church Avenue, or Prospect Park and transfer to a Coney Island-bound Q.

Starting Friday:

No Q trains between Prospect Park and Stillwell Avenue
Weekend, 10:30pm Friday to 5am Monday, September 12-15
D, F, and N trains, as well as free shuttle buses, will provide alternate service. The Q will operate between 57 Avenue and Prospect Park. Shuttle buses will operate along two routes: one, local between Prospect Park and Kings Highway, which will make all the Q station stops; and two, limited between Prospect Park and Stillwell Avenue, stopping at the Flatbush Avenue 2 station, Kings Highway, Avenue U, Neck Road, Sheepshead Bay, Brighton Beach, Ocean Parkway, and West 8 Street.
Transfer between trains and buses at Prospect Park, Flatbush Avenue, West 8 Street, and Stillwell Avenue. For direct service between Stillwell Avenue and Manhattan/Downtown Brooklyn, take the D, F, or N. Transfer between the D, N, and Q trains at Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center and transfer between the F, N, and Q trains at 34 Street-Herald Square.
Also, take note, the B68 bus service is available along Coney Island Avenue between Parkside Avenue and Stillwell Avenue.

Remember, unscheduled changes can occur (though let’s hope not), so be sure to check the MTA’s website before heading out.
