This Week At The Cortelyou Greenmarket

This Week At The Cortelyou Greenmarket
(For Pre-Cherry Pit Spit Post) Cherries at the Cortelyou Greenmarket

Today is National Can-It-Forward Day, so tomorrow’s Cortelyou Greenmarket will feature ideas for making the best long-term use of your produce. Manager Tali Biale will make jam with some of the best the market has to offer, and will be talking freezing, pickling, canning and storing.

And of course:

• Bring food scraps to be composted from 8am-1pm.

• Drop off textiles to be recycled from 8am-2pm.

• The Health Bucks program is on: For every $5 of your EBT you spend, you get a free $2 coupon for fruits and vegetables. Stop by the info tent to learn more.

The Cortelyou Greenmarket runs year-round on Sundays, 8am to 3pm, on Cortelyou Road between Argyle and Rugby Roads. For more info, find the Greenmarket on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
