This Week at the Cortelyou Greenmarket
It’s definitely berry season at the Cortelyou Greenmarket, which runs every Sunday, rain or shine, 8am to 4pm between Argyle and Rugby. If you’ve never tried a gooseberry, the green guys in the photo above, give them a shot–they’re tart and sweet, and good for snacking with cheese. They’re probably most popular in a traditional gooseberry fool. Anyone have any other gooseberry recipe ideas?
Bring unwanted clothes and other textiles and/or food scraps for collection on the corner of Rugby and Cortelyou from 8am to 1pm.
Avoid ticketing and towing by not parking on Cortelyou or Rugby Roads. Visit the info tent to use your debit, credit, or EBT cards. For more info, follow Cortelyou Greenmarket on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram @bkgreenmarkets.
