This Is Not a Trash Can

This Is Not a Trash Can
Shopping Cart Turned Trash Can

This shopping cart, chained and locked to a signpost on Marlborough near Foster, has become a trash can whether that was the intention or not. But you know who’s not going to empty this? The Department of Sanitation.

Neighbors often gripe about a lack of trash cans on Foster, or overflowing cans on Cortelyou, but this is definitely not the solution. The closest actual trash cans to this are not that far, either, sitting just around the corner on Newkirk Plaza.

Attention Blue Ribbon Fruit Store on Avenue J — this is your cart! If you want it back, you’ll need a pair of bolt cutters.
