What: It’s the last Sidewalk Sale of the year, as we make room for new fall books in the store! Shape Up: Stretching (Essentrics)

What: Our popular NYC Parks Department “Shape Up! program with a local volunteer instructor and an emphasis on stretching (Essentrics). Class begins at 10 AM and ends at 11 AM. No registration is needed.
Storytime: “Fab Four Friends”
When: Saturday, September 12 at 11am
Where: Greenlight Bookstore at 686 Fulton Street
What: In 1957 in Liverpool, England, a young lad named John Lennon and his band played music at a local church fair. In the audience was Paul McCartney, who liked what he heard and soon teamed up with John. Paul’s friend George Harrison kept showing up at rehearsals until the older boys finally let him in. Eventually they found the perfect drummer, Ringo Starr, and the perfect name: The Beatles. Told through lyrical prose and stunning paintings, Fab Four Friends spotlights four ordinary boys growing up amid the rubble of postwar England who found music to be a powerful, life-saving force. Author Susanna Reich (Minette’s Feast) presents her new picture book, to a soundtrack of The Beatles, of course! Ages 3 to 8.

Preschool Storytime

Baby Breakfast

What: The courtyard is transformed into an into a toddler wonderland complete with toys, a water table and supervised art projects geared towards children 4 and under. Come meet your neighbors and watch your kids make new friends. Presented in conjunction with My Brooklyn Baby.
