REGIONAL HIGHLIGHTS
Veterans Day Activities
When: Wednesday, November 11, 12-5pm
Where: Various locations in Prospect Park
What: The park is ready for those kids who are off from school! Show off your bird nerd status, meet some creatures, explore nature and more at the Audubon Center; take a ride on the beautiful carousel; compete in a potato sack race; and more.
How Much: Most activities are free, though the carousel requires tickets, and the event at the Lefferts Historic House has a $3 suggested donation.
Story Crafts
When: Thursday, November 12, 3:30pm
Where: Pacific Library, 25 4th Avenue, Park Slope
What: Kids are invited to listen to a story, and then make a craft.
Kids Create

What: An arts and crafts program for children between the ages of 6 and 12.
First Five Years Story And Play

What: Local author Adam Rubin reads his new book, Robo-Sauce, a book that transforms into a super-shiny metal robo-book!
9th Annual Children’s Book Fair

What: Kids (and grown-ups!) can meet some awesome Brooklyn authors and illustrators and enjoy hands-on art activities.
Parallel Exit: Wham, Slam And Bam!

What: An audience of all ages should expect quite a show — including music, magic, juggling, and comedy — when physical comedians Parallel Exit hit the stage.
Jon Samson Family Concert

Where: Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, 58 7th Avenue, Park Slope
What: Jon Samson, an award-winning musician who’s also a music therapist, will perform tunes from his latest, called “A New Kids Album.”
