What: Learn about gardening, help us plant more seeds to beautify the branch, and take home your own garden starters in peat pots and decorated planters. For all ages. NOTE: Dirt and acrylic paint will be used in this project, so be sure to wear old clothes!

Where: Greenlight Bookstore at 686 Fulton Street
What: Is Brooklyn the best borough? Photographer Krzysztof Poluchowicz thinks so! In his new book for kids, Brooklyn ABC, he’s chronicled the undeniable appeal of Brooklyn for the younger generation. Not your typical tourist guide, this book aims to give kids a look at the real Brooklyn: the tried and true such as the Brooklyn Museum, Prospect Park Zoo, and Jane’s Carousel, but also such destinations as the Gowanus Canal and stations of the Q Train. Brooklyn ABC is a lively photographic scrapbook that gives kids the chance to investigate each landmark and personalize each page with their own drawings, puzzles, and games. Ages 3 to 11.

I Want to Skate Too - lakeside - child - roller skatesToddler Tuesdays at Lakeside
When: Tuesday, July 14 from 9:30am-12pm
Where: LeFrak Center Lakeside in Prospect Park at 171 East Drive
What: Start your Tuesdays with an action-packed morning of toddler-only dedicated skate time on the rink, instructor-led games, music, play-based activities, snacks, and beverages. The Toddler Tuesday program is designed for children ages 2–5 and their caregivers. Accompanying caregivers are required to participate in all activities with their toddlers and must be prepared to assist/monitor the toddler accordingly. For more information call (718) 462-0010 or email groups@lakesidebrooklyn.com.
