What: Have you ever wanted to make comics of your own? In this one-hour workshop, you will read hilarious comic strips, write an original manuscript, and create your own short comic – no drawing expertise necessary!
DIY: Pop Up Cards
When: Thursday, December 17 from 4-5pm
Where: Clinton Hill Library at 380 Washington Avenue
What: Make your own pop-up cards and outshine other boring greeting cards! Use glitter, markers, and colored pencils to transform paper into one-of-kind works of art. You can make holiday cards, thank you cards, or any kind of card!
Ezra Jack Keats Bedtime Stories
When: Thursday, December 17, 7pm
Where: Central Library, Youth Wing, 10 Grand Army Plaza, Prospect Heights
What: Through the Ezra Jack Keats Bedtime Stories, librarians read aloud to children and lead singing, rhyming, and playing activities related to the themes and images of the book. At the end of each session, every child is given a free copy of one of Mr. Keats’ books to keep.
Creative Art Workshops: The Little Little Girl with the BIG BIG Voice

The Magic of Rubbings

What: Glue some white shapes to a white paper. Layer and add more white shapes. What is it? You can’t see it! But, when you place a paper on top of it it and rub it with a black crayon, an image appears.
