Regina Opera In Concert

What: In honor of Italian Heritage Month, the one-hour program will feature Regina Opera soloists who will present Italian and Neapolitan songs and selections from Italian operas.

Parachute Jump Goes Blue & Orange For NY Mets
When: Every day, until the Mets win the World Series
Where: Luna Park, 1000 Surf Avenue
What: The New York Mets are lighting up the baseball field, and to support their post-season efforts, Coney Island’s Parachute Jump will be ablaze in orange and blue lights spelling out “Go Mets” from top to bottom.

Luna Park’s Halloween Harvest
When: Saturdays and Sunday, September 26 – November 1
What: The amusement park’s annual fall festival will feature story telling, a pumpkin patch, balloon art, crafts, s’mores, doggie parades, karaoke, and more.

Haunted Walk
When: Saturday, October 31, 1-9pm
Where: Owl’s Head Park, Shore Road at 68th Street, Bay Ridge
What: Look out for 12 creepy vignettes involving ghosts, ghouls, mad scientists, a scream house cafe, and more surprises. The fairy tale forest (open 2-5pm and 7-9pm) will include a pumpkin patch, arts and crafts, storytelling, rides, a photo booth, and more. Plus, there’s a food court with sausages, zeppole, kettle corn, etc..

Spooky Stories
When: Saturday, October 31, 12:15pm
Where: New Utrecht Library, 1743 86th Street, Bensonhurst
What: Kids are invited to come in costume to listen to spooky tales and create a creepy craft.

Dyker Frights
When: Saturday, October 31
Where: 1123 79th Street, Dyker Heights
What: The outrageously decorated private home is a sight to see any day leading up to Halloween, but on All-Hallow’s Eve, volunteers will dress up as wretched creatures to blend in with the spooky scene and jump out unexpectedly to scare the children.

Bensonhurst Greenmarket
When: Sunday, October 25, 9am-4pm
Where: Milestone Park, 18th Avenue, between 81st and 82nd Street.
What: The award-winning farmers’ market is back! Lookout for free cooking demonstrations and delicious, organic, farm-fresh produce all day. The market will be open in the 18th Avenue park every Sunday until November 22.
