Free Summer Concert: Frankie Marra Band

What: Frankie Marra Band will break out the classic rock, with a very special salute to our veterans.

Dream, Paint, Draw: Art For Adults
When: Wednesday, July 28, 11am – 12pm
Where: Coney Island Library, 1901 Mermaid Avenue (Near West 19th Street)
What: In this regularly occurring program, adults are encouraged to come and explore their creative sides, look through a variety of art books in the library collection, and try out different art media. Much of the work done during this program will be self-directed, allowing participants to explore their own interests, but guided group projects may be undertaken as well. Artwork will be featured at the library!

Movie At The Library: Must Love Dogs

What: In this classic 2005 rom-com, a forty-something preschool teacher looks to the personals for a change of pace and a relationship, with hilarious results.

Lincoln Center Comes To Sunset Park
When: Friday, July 29, at 6 p.m. (refreshments)
Where: Center for Family Life in Sunset Park, 443 39th St, Brooklyn between 4th and 5th Avenue
What: Bring your dancing shoes to a workshop starting at 7 p.m. to learn traditional dance steps and songs from Veracruz, Mexico, with company members and guest dancers from the Mazarte Mexican dance company. A performance by The Villalobos Brothers will follow at 8 p.m., as they mix their original music to celebrate the richness of Mexican folk music with the intricate harmonies of jazz and classical music.

Zumba on the Beach

Where: Steeplechase Pavilion, near West 17th Street
What: This free zumba class is sponsored by the office of Councilman Mark Treyger. Classes go throughout the summer.
