Manhattan Beach Neighborhood Association Meeting

What: Join NYC DOT, the Regional Plan Association, the National Parks Service, and the NYC Parks for the final round of workshops for the Jamaica Bay Implementation Plan. Share your thoughts, reactions, and input to the plan for the future of this 28-mile network of bicycle and pedestrian paths connecting parks, wetlands, and beaches surrounding Jamaica Bay.

New Utrecht Public Library Art Sale Fundraiser
When: Thursday, June 4 at 1pm
Where: New Utrecht Library at 1743 86th Street, downstairs
What: To raise funds for the library, the branch’s “friends” group is auctioning off “naturalistic and aesthetically pleasing” artworks made by several artists with many years of experience. This will include three large original Chinese brush paintings, and several original watercolors. They will also raffle off several smaller original paintings. All proceeds benefit the library’s programs.
How much: Free admission. Prices for artwork vary.
