Lots to do in southern Brooklyn this week. Check out the Third Annual Inter-SING competition at James Madison High School. There’s also a mobile pet adoption center, a festival celebrating Butoh culture, CPR training, and much more!

Friends Book Sale!

Coney Island Butoh & Theatre Festival
When: Friday & Saturday, March 11 & 12, 8pm, Sunday, March 13, 4pm
Where: Sideshows by the Seashore, 1208 Surf Avenue
What: The International Culture Lab gathers an idiosyncratic “tribe” of butoh dancers, under the guidance of Mexican master teacher Diego Pinon, to explore this history through body rituals.

What: Make it out to the Third Annual Inter-SING — in which students from Midwood, Murrow an Madison high schools engage in a friendly but fierce musical competition for bragging rights and prestige. The event benefits the American Cancer Society.
