Looking for something fun to do this weekend? There’s plenty of great music at Bar Chord, Black Violin is back at the Brooklyn Center for Performing Arts, and the LeFrak Center is hosting an ice skating exhibition!

La Madrugada

What: Latin beats and a salsa dance party.

Celebration
When: Saturday, November 14, 1-4pm
Where: Lefferts Historic House, Prospect Park
What: Join the Prospect Park Alliance to see the wonderful work of The Brooklyn Quilters’ Guild while their small quilt exhibit is on display in the month of November. This year’s exhibit features the artist’s personal interpretations of the theme Celebration.
How much: $3 suggested donation.

Black Violin
When: Saturday, November 14, 2pm
Where: Brooklyn Center For The Performing Arts, 2900 Avenue H
What: Back by popular demand, virtuoso violinists Kev Marcus and Wil B return to Brooklyn with their electrifying mash-up of hip-hop, classical, and pop tunes. This dynamic duo never fails to take audiences by storm with their unique spin on music for strings.

Jake G and the Soul Vibrance

Brooklyn Ice Exhibition
When: Sunday, November 15, 6pm
Where: LeFrak Center at Lakeside, Prospect Park
What: Join Brooklyn Ice in celebrating 10 years of providing free figure skating classes for Brooklyn’s underserved youth. This skating exhibition features performances by Olympians Abzal Rakimgaliyev and Elene Gedevanishvili, the award-winning Skyliners, Michael Solonoski, the Ice Theatre of New York and more.
