Mic The Robot
When: Thursday, October 29, 9pm
Where: Bar Chord, 1008 Cortelyou Road
What: Funky, latin tinged dance moves.

Happy Hour
When: Friday, October 30, 4pm
Where: Lark Cafe, 1007 Church Avenue
What: Come hang out Lark Cafe and start your weekend off with a glass of wine or beer and feel free to bring the kids!

Beer Tasting
When: Friday, October 30, 6-8pm
Where: Cortelyou Craft Beer Market, 1211 Cortelyou Road
What: Come taste apples from Local Roots CSA, as well as some other complimentary snacks and beer, of course. All attendees will receive 10% off what we taste on the night, and 15% off thanksgiving beer orders.

What: Brooklyn’s best jug band.

Monster Skate Halloween Bash
When: Saturday, October 31, 12-6pm
Where: LeFrak Center at Lakeside, Prospect Park
What: Enjoy a Halloween Party for all ages!  Guests can enjoy a day full of games and activities on and off the ice, including Halloween Mini-Golf, Jack-o-Lantern Bean Bag Toss, and a temporary tattoo station. Attendees will also have the opportunity to preview Lakeside’s Skate School classes with two 15-minute introductory group lessons, free with advanced registration by contacting skate@lakesidebrooklyn.com.

Lego At Lark: Halloween
When: Saturday, October 31, 12:30-2pm
Where: Lark Cafe, 1007 Church Avenue
What: We’ll create spooky scenes using lego spider webs, cauldrons, wands, witches hats, broomsticks, rats, snakes and frogs. Kids take home one build at the end of the class.
How much: $20.

Halloween Parades
When: Saturday, October 31, 5pm
Where: Albemarle Road and Glenwood Road
What: Ready to show off your costumes? Come share your ghoulish creations at the Prospect Park South, starting at 5pm, and West Midwood, starting at 6pm, Halloween parades!
How much: Free.

Halloween Party!
When: Saturday, October 31, 8pm
Where: Adirondack, 1241 Prospect Avenue
What: Come out for a costume contest, prizes, drink specials, the sweet, spooky sounds of Kyle Brown, and a Wes Craven Movie Marathon!
How much: Free.

Halloween Freak Out
When: Saturday, October 31, 8pm
Where: Sycamore, 1118 Cortelyou Road
What: Come out for a costume contest, sweet treats, and DJ Gogo Gadget!

Halloween Party with The Michael Lewis Band
When: Saturday, October 31, 9pm
Where: Bar Chord, 1008 Cortelyou Road
What: Rock, roll, blues and beyond. There will be a costume contest!
How much: Free.

Early Morning Bird Walk: Feather Friends
When: Sunday, November 1, 10-11am
Where: Audubon Center, Prospect Park
What: Observe Park regulars like chickadees, early winter residents like Northern Shovelers, and the returning ducks that spend the winter in the Lake. Led by the Brooklyn Bird Club, this tour leaves promptly at 10am.
How much: Free.

“Celebration”
When: Sunday, November 1, 1-4pm
Where: Lefferts Historic House, Prospect Park
What: Join the Prospect Park Alliance to see the wonderful work of The Brooklyn Quilters’ Guild while their small quilt exhibit is on display in the month of November. This year’s exhibit features the artist’s personal interpretations of “Celebration”. These original creations range from traditional to contemporary to mixed media fiber art.  While you are here, try your hand at making your own paper quilt collage or add to our community paper patchwork quilt.
How much: $3 suggested donation.
