Happy weekend, everyone! There’s a ton happening this weekend, including a fundraiser for the arts at PS 217 at Bar Chord on Friday night, an open house at the Family of Light Holistic Center on Saturday, the Kensington duo from Gaddy Lane serving up some tasty treats at Sycamore’s Flatbush Food Court on Sunday, and Lit at Lark kicking off its second season at Lark Café on Sunday.

Thursday, September 11

Free rowing at Prospect Park today and September 18 & 25, 4-7pm
• End your day with a deep timeline healing meditation at the Family of Light Holistic Center, 7pm.
• Sign up for open mic night at 773 Lounge starting at 8pm.
The Strung Out String Band performs at Bar Chord, 9pm.

Friday, September 12

Sing-along with Lloyd H. Miller at Lark Cafe, 10 & 11am.
• Come to Prospect Park’s Audubon Center for a free cardio toning class, 12pm.
• Meet fellow moms and dads at the New Parent Meet-Up, Lark, 1pm.
• Kids can attend Blooming Naturalists  at the Prospect Park’s Audubon Center, 1-2pm Thursdays and Fridays.
• … followed by Nature on the Go, also at the Audubon Center, 2-3pm Thursdays and Fridays.
• … and finally, learn about local wildlife at Animal Encounter, also at the Audubon Center, 3-4pm Thursdays and Fridays.
Happy hour with babies and ice cream happy hour are at Lark, 4pm.
• Enjoy de-stress meditation and a shot of raw organic juice at Family of Light Holistic Center‘s holistic happy hour, 5:30pm.
• … followed by pranic yoga to balance your elements at the Family of Light Holistic Center, 6:30pm.

• Friends of PS 217 is holding a fundraiser for its arts program at Bar Chord, where a bebop band featuring Jay Jennings (of the Grammy-winning Snarky Puppets), Sylvester Onyejiaka, and Ross Pederson will play. $20 donation at the door (which includes a cocktail), 7-9pm.
• Join the Church Ave Yoga & Bodywork Center for its monthly kirtan (devotional chanting) series with “Brooklyn Mellows” recording artist, Devadas, 7-9pm.
• Get your heart rate up and explore the neighborhood with Ditmas Rides, meeting in front of the Cortelyou Library at 7pm.
Bill Carney’s Jug Addicts performs at Bar Chord, 9pm.
Rahlou is at Sycamore, 10pm.

Saturday, September 13

• Lavender Blues Sing-Along at Lark Cafe, 10 & 11am.
• Join the Family of Light Holistic Center for its open house, which will include free events for kids and adults, 10am-5pm.
• There’s Sahaja yoga meditation at the Cortelyou Library, 12:30-2pm.
• Local nonprofit caribBEING presents its Flatbush Takeover at the corner of Flatbush and Church, where there will be reggae music and a screening of Rockers, free, 6pm-late.
Hannah art opening at Lark Cafe, 7-9pm.
• The Todd Gaynor Band performs at Bar Chord, 9pm.

Sunday, September 14

• Check out all the fresh veggies, fruit, and more at the Cortelyou greenmarket (Cortelyou between Argyle and Rugby), 8am-3pm.
• Practice kundalini-inspired vinyasa yoga at the Family of Light Holistic Center at 9:30am, community healing at 2pm and pranic yoga at 4pm.
• Play and sing at Toddler Time with Mary Jo at Lark, 10am.
Kids yoga with Jen at Lark Cafe, 11am.
• Kensington’s Gaddy Lane will be serving sandwiches and snacks, including a roasted chicken with verde dressing and crispy shallots sandwich called the Ditmas Yard Bird, at Sycamore’s Flatbush Food Court, 2-9pm.
Lit at Lark kicks off at Lark Café, 5-7pm.
Stems has two spots left for its upcoming flower arranging class, which, for $75, you’ll get an arrangement to take home and two cocktails, 5:30pm.
Game Night is on at 773 Lounge, 7pm.
Cortelyou Jazz Jam at Bar Chord, 9pm.
