Looking for something fun to do this weekend? There’s plenty of great music at Bar Chord, Black Violin is back at the Brooklyn Center for Performing Arts, and the LeFrak Center is hosting an ice skating exhibition!

Scott Sharrard & The Brickyard Band

Sahaja Yoga Meditation

What: Join the Prospect Park Alliance to see the wonderful work of The Brooklyn Quilters’ Guild while their small quilt exhibit is on display in the month of November. This year’s exhibit features the artist’s personal interpretations of the theme Celebration.

Black Violin
When: Saturday, November 14, 2pm
Where: Brooklyn Center For The Performing Arts, 2900 Avenue H
What: Back by popular demand, virtuoso violinists Kev Marcus and Wil B return to Brooklyn with their electrifying mash-up of hip-hop, classical, and pop tunes. This dynamic duo never fails to take audiences by storm with their unique spin on music for strings.

Jake G and the Soul Vibrance

What: The Soul Vibrance will take you on an authentic “Soul Expedition,” featuring songs from the greatest singers of all-time.

Parkside Plaza GreenMarket
When: Sunday, November 15, 8am-4pm
Where: Parkside and Ocean Avenues
What: This Sunday market will feature six producers selling fresh vegetables, fruits, cheese, milk, herbs, eggs, honey, meats, yarn, baked goods and more. Big Toy Sale

Where: Temple Beth Emeth, 83 Marlborough Road
What: Popcorn Playgroup is closing its doors after 34 years as a wonderful play school for Ditmas Park kids. They have a massive collection of vintage toys, books, puzzles, play kitchen, riding horses, train table, crafts and arts sup- plies, climbing gym, bikes, trikes, hard toys, animals, dinosaurs, costumes and other large play items that we need to find new homes for.

Giving Thanks: Expressing Gratitude Through Poetry & Dance
When: Sunday, November 15, 3pm
Where: Cynthia King Dance Studio, 21 Snyder Road
What: This annual Thanksgiving-time event features a book-signing and poetry readings from Our Farm: By the Animals of Farm Sanctuary by author Maya Gottfried, as well as a presentation of original works by CKDS poets and live music by singer/songwriter Michael Harren.
How much: $10 suggested donation.

Brooklyn Ice Exhibition
When: Sunday, November 15, 6pm
Where: LeFrak Center at Lakeside, Prospect Park
What: Join Brooklyn Ice in celebrating 10 years of providing free figure skating classes for Brooklyn’s underserved youth. This skating exhibition features performances by Olympians Abzal Rakimgaliyev and Elene Gedevanishvili, the award-winning Skyliners, Michael Solonoski, the Ice Theatre of New York and more.
