Fresh Air Yoga

Where: Long Meadow, Prospect Park
What: Get your yoga on in the Park with a free open-level outdoor class every Thursday night. This week, the class is taught by Lea Helle & Elliotte Crowell, Prema Yoga.

Michael Louis Band
When: Thursday, August 27, 9pm

What: Check out some funky rock and soul with the Michael Louis Band tonight.

Free Wine Tasting
When: Friday, August 28, 6-8pm
Where: Kings County Wines, 1205 Cortelyou Road
What: Start your weekend trying out some new wines at the weekly tasting at Kings County.

Lola Star’s Dreamland Roller Disco
When: Friday, August 28, 7:30pm
Where: LeFrak Center, Lakeside
What: Bust out your Aqua Net, because it’s all about hair metal and air guitars at this week’s Dreamland Roller Disco. Note that admission is restricted to guests ages 21 and older. For more information, or to buy tickets in advance, visit the Dreamland website.

Historic Games
When: Saturdays and Sundays in August, 2-5pm
Where: Lefferts Historic House, Prospect Park
What: Have the kids ever played 9-Man Morris? Well, they’ll learn how by making their own board, which they can take home to continue playing. That’s not all! Look for checkers, historic hoop games, and stilts.

What: Looking for some good country, rock and blues? Check out Trailer Radio, a country band from Astoria, Queens, playing at Bar Chord tonight.

Cortelyou Greenmarket County Fair
When: Sunday, August 30, 10am-1pm
Where: Cortelyou Road between Argyle and Rugby roads
What: Come to the Greenmarket this Sunday for free, county fair inspired activities, including a face painter/balloon artist, free tastings of honey-caramel apples and kettle corn, a corn shucking contest, and a giant/funky veggie contest between farmers.

Schmooze & Schmeer

Where: Social Hall of Temple Isaac, 1417 Dorchester Road

Composting Workshop
