Happy Thursday, everyone! This weekend, you can join neighbors to protest human rights abuses in the Dominican Republic, go to Laolu Senbanjo’s art exhibit and concert at Bar Chord, attend the annual Brooklyn Melago to “Kittenpalooza” outside Qathra Cafe, and lots more. Email us at editor@ditmasparkcorner.com.

• Join the drop-in sing-along with Lucy Kalantari at Lark Café, 10am.
• Get in shape at Shape Up NYC’s free cardio toning class at Prospect Park’s Audubon Center, 12-1pm.
• Meet fellow moms and dads at the New Parent Meet-Up, Lark Cafe, 1pm.
• Enjoy a free kid-friendly film at the Cortelyou Library, 2pm.
Johnny Lupiani’s Awesome BBQ is dishing up food at Sycamore’s Flatbush Food Court, 4-11pm.

• Free wine tasting at Kings County Wines, every Friday from 6-8pm.

• Play historic games at the Lefferts Historic House, 2-5pm.
Burma Noodle Bar whips up their culinary creations at Sycamore’s Flatbush Food Court, 4-11pm.
• Free family bird watching at Prospect Park, 4:30pm.
 Alegba and Friends perform their Afro-Caribbean rhythms all night at Bar Chord, 9pm.

Sunday, August 16
