R Train Nightmares’ With Councilman Vincent Gentile

Where: Outside the 77th Street R Station, near 4th Avenue (Bay Ridge)
What: Councilman Gentile stars in “R Train Nightmares,” a short film previewing at a rally in Bay Ridge, calling on the MTA to improve the subway line. In the film, Gentile ride the R train from 95th Street to 36th street, asking riders about their biggest grievances with the line, and what the “R” in R train means to them.

Dyker Heights Annual Tree Lighting

Where: Hendrick I. Lott House (1940 East 36th Street)
What: The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce and the 13th Avenue Merchants Association are hosting the Annual Dyker Heights Christmas Tree Lighting. The holiday event will include music, caroling, and an appearance by Santa Claus. Thirteenth Avenue was also recently decorated with holidaylights thanks to a generous donation by Investors Bank.
