While winter seems to have all of a sudden arrived, don’t let the cold weather stop you from going to all the amazing events happening in our neighborhood this weekend! You can check out a ton of local talent at the Flatbush Artists Studio Tour, sample some holiday treats at the Flatbush Food Coop’s Thanksgiving tasting, hear local writers read at Lit at Lark, see a flamenco performance at the Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts, and more:

Thursday, November 13

• All are welcome to join Councilman Jumaane Williams at his Small Business Dinner at The Bridge (1894 Flatbush Avenue), during which small business health insurance experts will be on hand to discuss concerns with business owners and residents. Register here. 7-9pm.
• The rocking organ trio Molly Tigre performs at Bar Chord, 9pm.

Friday, November 14

• Join the drop-in sing-alongs with Lloyd H. Miller at Lark Café, 10 & 11am.
• Adults are invited to the computer class at the Cortelyou Library, 11am.
• Come to Prospect Park’s Audubon Center for a free cardio toning class, 12pm.
• Meet fellow moms and dads at the New Parent Meet-Up, Lark, 1pm.
• Kids can attend Blooming Naturalists  at the Prospect Park’s Audubon Center, 1-2pm Thursdays and Fridays.
• … followed by Nature on the Go, also at the Audubon Center, 2-3pm Thursdays and Fridays.
• Boys and girls ages 8 and up are invited to the creative writing group at the Cortelyou Library, 2:45-3:45pm.

• Join the Family of Light Holistic Center for Prana Yoga, 7:30-9pm.
• Looking for a fun & safe environment for your child while you do your shopping, go out to dinner, or catch up with friends? Latin Fever will provide your child with fun-filled activities, games, movies and more. $35 for 2.5 hours and snacks or $15 for one hour. 7:30-10pm.
• Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts presents Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana: The Soul of Flamenco, $30, 8pm (7pm for a pre-show talk).

Saturday, November 15

• Get your morning going with Vinyasa yoga at the Family of Light Holistic Center, 9:30-11am.
• Lavender Blues Sing-Along at Lark Cafe, 10 & 11am.
• During the 2014 Flatbush Artists’ Studio Tour, visitors can see and collect art, as well as talk to local artists about their work. 11am-5pm.
• Children ages 3 to 5 and their parents/caregivers are welcome to attend Ready, Set, Kindergarten at the Cortelyou Library. In this special six-session series, families will enjoy stories and activities designed to encourage early learning development, 11am.
• There’s Sahaja yoga meditation at the Cortelyou Library, 12:30-2pm.
Join the Church Ave Yoga & Bodywork Center for its Yoga Inversions Workshop (some experience with yoga & inversions required), 1-3pm.
• Check out the healing meditation inside the six-foot copper pyramids at the Family of Light Holistic Center, 2-3pm.

• Visit the Family of Light Holistic Center’s community healing class, 2-3pm.

• Hear authors from Rachel Sherman’s Ditmas Writing Workshop read at Lit at Lark at Lark Café, 5-7pm.
