Happy Thursday, everyone! There are about a billion things to do this weekend: go to a trick-or-treat party for adults (read: beer flights, cheese pairings, and candy!) at The Castello Plan tonight, get out your best costumes for the Prospect Park South and the West Midwood Halloween parades tomorrow evening, El Paso is celebrating their first anniversary by offering 50 percent of everything on their menu Saturday, see Inbal Hever live at Temple Beth Emeth Sunday, go to an art show at Collyer’s Mansion Sunday, and more:

Thursday, October 30

• Celebrate Halloween with beer flights, cheese pairings and, of course, candy at The Castello Plan’s trick-or-treat party, all night.
• Join the Family of Light Holistic Center for meditation classes, 6:30-7:30pm.
• Practice yoga at the Family of Light Holistic Center, 7:30-9pm.

• Sign up for open mic night at 773 Lounge starting at 8pm.


• Sunshine performs their lo-fi electric and acoustic blues at Bar Chord, 9pm.

Friday, October 31

• Join the drop-in sing-alongs with Lloyd H. Miller at Lark Café, 10 & 11am.
• Adults are invited to the computer class at the Cortelyou Library, 11am.
• Come to Prospect Park’s Audubon Center for a free cardio toning class, 12pm.
• Meet fellow moms and dads at the New Parent Meet-Up, Lark, 1pm.
• Kids can attend Blooming Naturalists  at the Prospect Park’s Audubon Center, 1-2pm Thursdays and Fridays.
• … followed by Nature on the Go, also at the Audubon Center, 2-3pm Thursdays and Fridays.
• Learn about local wildlife at Animal Encounter, also at the Audubon Center, 3-4pm Thursdays and Fridays.
Happy hour with babies and ice cream happy hour are at Lark, 4pm.
• It’s Halloween! Have a ghoulish time at the Prospect Park South parade, 5pm for pre-event treats and 5:30pm for the parade itself.
Celebrate All Hallows’ Eve at the West Midwood Halloween parade, 6pm for refreshments and 6:30pm for the parade.

• Join the Family of Light Holistic Center for meditation classes, 6:30-7:30pm.
• Get your heart rate up and explore the neighborhood with Ditmas Rides, meeting in front of the Cortelyou Library at 7pm.
• Looking for a fun & safe environment for your child while you do your shopping, go out to dinner, or catch up with friends? Latin Fever will provide your child with fun-filled activities, games, movies and more. $35 for 2.5 hours and snacks or $15 for one hour. 7:30-10pm.
• Practice yoga at the Family of Light Holistic Center, 7:30-9pm.
• Celebrate Halloween with a costume contest, prizes, and music by Youth and Vanity at Bar Chord, 9pm.

Saturday, November 1

• Join the Family of Light Holistic Center for yoga, 9:30-11am.
• Lavender Blues Sing-Along at Lark Cafe, 10 & 11am.
• Children ages 3 to 5 and their parents/caregivers are welcome to attend Ready, Set, Kindergarten at the Cortelyou Library. In this special six-session series, families will enjoy stories and activities designed to encourage early learning development, 11am.
• A Crystal Clarity workshop at the Family of Light Holistic Center will focus on using crystals to de-stress, 11am-12:30pm.
• Get your burrito on! El Paso (1610 Newkirk Avenue) is celebrating their first anniversary by offering 50 percent off all menu items (in-house only), 12pm-6pm.
• There’s Sahaja yoga meditation at the Cortelyou Library, 12:30-2pm.
Wychwood Brewery will do a beer tasting at the Flatbush Food Co-op, 3-6pm.
Bobby McFerrin performs at the Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts’ 60th anniversary season kickoff (buy tickets here), 8pm.
Trailer Radio performs their country/blues/Americana/wailing harmonies and smoking guitar licks at Bar Chord, 9pm.

Sunday, November 2

CAMBA will be collecting for their Beyond Hunger Emergency Food Pantry outside the Flatbush Food Co-op, 1-4pm.
