Things To Do In Ditmas Park This Weekend

There is so much happening this weekend! You can go to a neighbor’s talk at the Morbid Anatomy Museum, help La Crepe et La Vie raise money to reopen at two fundraisers, go to an album launch party at Ezra Guitar, learn about wine at a five-course meal with French winemakers at The Farm on Adderley, and lots more. And, of course, don’t forget to go to Nine Chains to load up on whiskey bread before the bakery closes on Sunday!

Thursday, February 26

• Sing along to a night of traditional Irish music at the Church Café Wine Bar, 7-9pm.
• Dream of warmer weather with surfing videos and Caribbean food at Sycamore’s The Lodge, 8pm.
• Neighbor Ian Olasov gives a talk titled “YOLO, or The Sting of Death and the Value of Life,” which will be about what makes life worth living, at the Morbid Anatomy Museum, 8pm.
• The Bill Scorzari Band will perform their folk tunes at Bar Chord, 9pm.

Friday, February 27

• Join the drop-in sing-alongs with Lloyd H. Miller at Lark Café, 10 & 11am.
• Free yoga class for people of all ages and levels at the Cortelyou Library, 10:15-11:15am.
• Come to Prospect Park’s Audubon Center for a free cardio toning class, 12pm.
• Meet fellow moms and dads at the New Parent Meet-Up, Lark, 1pm.
• Neighbors of all ages are welcome to attend the creative writing group at the Cortelyou Library, 2:45-3:45pm.
Happy hour with babies and ice cream happy hour are at Lark, 4pm.
• Drop-in sing-along with Andrew of Rolie Polie Guacamole at Lark Cafe ($10 per family), 4pm.
Check out Happy Hour cocktail recipes at T.B. Ackerson Wine Merchants, 6-8pm.
• Get your heart rate up and explore the neighborhood with Ditmas Rides, meeting in front of the Cortelyou Library at 7pm.
• Watch a free screening of “The Human Experience” at All Souls Bethlehem Church, 7pm.
• Looking for a fun & safe environment for your child while you do your shopping, go out to dinner, or catch up with friends? Latin Fever will provide your child with fun-filled activities, games, movies and more. $35 for 2.5 hours and snacks or $15 for one hour. 7:30-10pm.
• The Double Down Swing Band performs at Bar Chord, 9pm.

Saturday, February 28

• Lavender Blues Sing-Along at Lark Cafe, 10 & 11am.
• The Brooklyn Bird Club offers a free class on birdwatching at Prospect Park’s Audubon Center, 12-1:30pm.
• Clear your mind at the Sahaja Yoga Meditation at the Cortelyou Library, 12:30-1:30pm.
• Try some scrumptious food and drinks at Sycamore’s Flatbush Food Court, 2-8pm every Saturday and Sunday.
Help La Crepe et La Vie raise money to reopen at fundraisers on Saturday & Sunday night, 4pm.
• The story of Purim drum circle at the East Midwood Jewish Center, 6:45pm.
• Kensington neighbor Joao Da Silva brings musicians from across the borough for a concert at Prospect Range, 8pm.
