This week, you can buy a ton of stuff for less on Cortelyou, tour Prospect Park’s Picnic House for free, watch a play about Baghdad in the immediate aftermath of the American invasion, and lots more. Monday, March 23

• Go shopping on Cortelyou Road all week for less.
• Go old school at Sycamore’s VHS Mondays, 8pm.
The Honky Cats perform their new take on folk rock classics at Bar Chord, 9pm.
• Watch Rajiv Joseph’s “Bengal Tiger At The Baghdad Zoo, a play about the days immediately following the American invasion of Iraq, at Brooklyn College’s Center for the Performing Arts ($12, buy tickets here), 7:30pm.

Tuesday, March 24

• New Gentle Yoga Support series at Third Root Health Center, $15 suggested donation, 10:45am-12pm.
• Join the drop-in sing-along with Miss Katie at Lark Cafe, 11am.
• Kids are invited to get help on their homework at the Cortelyou Library, 3-5pm.
• Teens are invited to the Women’s History Month Jeopardy tournament at the Cortelyou Library, 4-5pm.
Join the Brooklyn Front Runners (a multi-sport club for LGBT and LGBT-friendly athletes) for a run at Prospect Park every Tuesday evening, 7pm.

• A gentle yoga class each Wednesday at the Church of the Nativity (1099 Ocean Avenue, by Farragut) will include stretching, strengthening, and breathing deeply, and the instructor noted it’s good for those with arthritis, hypertension, diabetes, or just regular aches and pains. $10 suggested donation, 10:30am.
• Join the sing-along with Debbie Deane at Lark Café, 11am.
• Kids can get help with their homework at the Cortelyou Library, 3-4:30pm.
• Teens Tech Time at the Cortelyou Library, 4-5pm.
• Tour Prospect Park’s Picnic House as part of Open Venues BK, an opportunity to see Brooklyn venues for weddings and other special occasions for free (you must RSVP here), 5-8pm.
• Shape Up NYC presents its Glutes in Gear: Cardio & Toning class at Prospect Park’s Audubon Center, 6-7pm. (Please bring your own workout mat.)
• A live jazz trio performs at the Church Cafe Wine Bar, 7-9pm.
• The 70th Precinct Community Council holds its monthly meeting at 175 Lawrence Avenue, 7:30pm.
Sycamore’s The Lodge presents its Classic Match Wednesday, when it will air sports games on its big screen TV and serve up food from Johnny Lupiani’s, 8pm.
