We know it’s all wintery outside, but there are so many reasons for you to get out of your home this week, from seeing comedian and storyteller Adam Wade for free at Sycamore, a special Black History Month movie screening at the Cortelyou Library, a public hearing on the Port Authority’s Cross Harbor Freight Program, and lots more:

Monday, February 2

• Check out the weekly Shape Up NYC Couch to 5k Group Run, meeting at the Lefferts Historic House, 7pm.
• Yeah, baby, yeah! Watch Austin Powers during Sycamore’s VHS Mondays, 8pm.
• Get your laugh on at Going to Hell Comedy Night at Bar Chord, 9pm.

Tuesday, February 3

• Join the drop-in sing-along with Miss Katie at Lark Cafe, 11am.
• Special Black History Month movie screening at the Cortelyou Library, 3-5pm.
• Children ages 6-12 are invited for arts and crafts at the Cortelyou Library, 4-5pm.
• Voice your opinion on the Port Authority’s Cross Harbor Freight Train Program at Borough Hall, 4-8pm.
Join the Brooklyn Front Runners (a multi-sport club for LGBT and LGBT-friendly athletes) for a run at Prospect Park every Tuesday evening, 7pm.
Music Trivia With Shane & Ruth is at Bar Chord, 7pm.
See comedian and storyteller Adam Wade for free at Sycamore, 8pm.
• Win a $60 bar tab during Highbury Pub’s trivia night, 9pm.
The Michael Louis Band performs its rock ‘n roll at Bar Chord, 9:30pm.

Wednesday, February 4

• Learn more about the pre-K and kindergarten programs during a tour at PS 249, 8:45am.
• A gentle yoga class each Wednesday at the Church of the Nativity (1099 Ocean Avenue, by Farragut) will include stretching, strengthening, and breathing deeply, and the instructor noted it’s good for those with arthritis, hypertension, diabetes, or just regular aches and pains. $10 suggested donation, 10:30am.
• Join the sing-along with Debbie Deane at Lark Café, 11am.
• Stay true to that New Year’s resolution to get fit and attend the Falundafa exercise class at Cortelyou Library, 1:30-2:30pm.
• Children in first through eighth grades can get help on their homework at the Cortelyou Library, 3-4:30pm.
• Get some exercise at the Shape-Up NYC: Cardio & Toning class at Prospect Park’s Audubon Center (please bring your own workout mat), 6-7m.
• Meet your neighbors at the Prospect Park South Networking Group at Lark Café, 6-8pm.
Sycamore’s The Lodge presents its Classic Match Wednesday, when it will air sports games on its big screen TV and serve up food from Johnny Lupiani’s, 8pm.
