We know it’s all wintery outside, but there are plenty of reasons for you to get out of your apartment and into the neighborhood this week, from an old-school movie night at Sycamore to live music at Bar Chord and a free exercise class at the Cortelyou Library, plus lots more:

Monday, January 19

• Check out the weekly Shape Up NYC Couch to 5k Group Run, meeting at the Lefferts Historic House, 7pm.
• Go old school and watch a classic movie during Sycamore’s VHS Mondays, 8pm.
• Singer-songwriter Amandla performs at Bar Chord, 9pm.

Tuesday, January 20

• Join the drop-in sing-along with Miss Katie at Lark Cafe, 11am.
• It’s Babies and Books time at the Cortelyou Library, 11:15am-12pm.
• Teens are invited to create, socialize, explore, and more at the Cortelyou Library, 4-5pm.
Join the Brooklyn Front Runners (a multi-sport club for LGBT and LGBT-friendly athletes) for a run at Prospect Park every Tuesday evening, 7pm.
• See “Round-Up,” a film shot by neighbors Aaron & Alex Craig and scored by Sufjan Stevens, at BAM, 7:30pm.
• Win a $60 bar tab during Highbury Pub’s trivia night, 9pm.
•Rob Hecht, Ross Martin & special guests perform during the Tuesday night residency at Bar Chord, 9:30pm.

Wednesday, January 21

• A gentle yoga class each Wednesday at the Church of the Nativity (1099 Ocean Avenue, by Farragut) will include stretching, strengthening, and breathing deeply, and the instructor noted it’s good for those with arthritis, hypertension, diabetes, or just regular aches and pains. $10 suggested donation, 10:30am.
• Join the sing-along with Debbie Deane at Lark Café, 11am.
• Stay true to that New Year’s resolution to get fit and attend the Falundafa exercise class at Cortelyou Library, 1:30-2:30pm.
• Children in first through eighth grades can get help on their homework at the Cortelyou Library, 3-4:30pm.
• Teens meet every Wednesday to create, explore, socialize and more during Teen Tech Time at the Cortelyou Library, 4-5pm.
• Get some exercise at the Shape-Up NYC: Cardio & Toning class at Prospect Park’s Audubon Center (please bring your own workout mat), 6-7m.
• See “Round-Up,” a film shot by neighbors Aaron & Alex Craig and scored by Sufjan Stevens, at BAM, 7:30pm.
Sycamore’s The Lodge presents its Classic Match Wednesday, when it will air sports games on its big screen TV and serve up food from Johnny Lupiani’s, 8pm.
• The B.U.T. Trio: Lena Bloch, Nicolas Letman, Deric Dickens perform at Bar Chord, 9pm.
• Two-for-one whiskey night at the Highbury Pub, 9pm.
