Babies & Books
When: Wednesday, December 9, 11am
Where: Sheepshead Bay Library, 2636 East 14th Street
What: Parents and caregivers can bring babies up to age 18 months to this fun, interactive program that encourages literacy.

Game On!
When: Thursday, December 10, 4pm
Where: New Utrecht Library, 1743 86th Street, Bensonhurst
What: Got a young board game fan? Point them to this library, where kids can try their hand at classics like Monopoly, Chutes and Ladders, and more.

Christmas Tree Lighting
When: Thursday, December 10, 6:30pm
Where: Lady Moody Triangle, Avenue U at Village Road N, Gravesend
What: Senator Marty Golden is hosting this lighting of the neighborhood Christmas tree — the event includes hot chocolate, caroling, and a special visit by Santa Claus, who will bring gifts for the kids. And since it’s the season of giving, consider bringing a donation for Toys for Tots, which will be collected at the event.

Creating Christmas Cards With Microsoft Publisher
When: Friday, December 11, 4pm
Where: New Utrecht Library, 1743 86th Street, Bensonhurst
What: For those creative kids looking for a way to make some unique holiday cards, this event will show them how to make them with the Microsoft Publisher program.

Christmas Tree Lighting
When: Friday, December 11, 6:30pm
Where: Hendrick I. Lott House, East 35th Street & Fillmore Avenue, Marine Park
What: Two Christmas tree lightings in one week from Senator Golden! Same deal as the one listed above — fun, hot chocolate, Santa, and gifts!

Coloring Pages
When: Saturday, December 12, 1-3pm
Where: Sheepshead Bay Library, 2636 East 14th Street
What: They provide the colors, the kids provide the creativity!

The Colonial Nutcracker
When: Sunday, December 13, 2pm
Where: Walt Whitman Theatre, Campus Road at Nostrand Avenue, Midwood
What: This annual holiday favorite features the Dance Theatre in Westchester performing its family-friendly, full-length version of Tchaikovsky’s ballet set in wintry colonial Yorktown, complete with a red-coated mouse army, an enchanted nutcracker prince, and simultaneous narration to help young audience members enjoy this timeless classic.

Kids Create: Storycraft
When: Monday, December 14, 4pm
Where: Coney Island Library, 1901 Mermaid Avenue
What: Kids will enjoy listening to a story, and then will create a craft based on the tale.
