Cops are searching for two burglars who raided a construction site last week and hauled out several pieces of equipment and electronics.

The two bandits broke into the site of a planned eight-story residential building at East 19th Street and Quentin Road by cutting the lock on the backdoor just before 4am on Tuesday, December 1, authorities say. The thieves were able to make off with a nail gun, a modem, a router, and cable wires, according to the NYPD.

Cops released surveillance photos of the suspects. One picture clearly shows the face of one alleged perp. The other photo, well, we have no idea what that thing is supposed to be. A Star Wars character?

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and then entering TIP577.
