The R Is Going Through The Tunnel! Plus More Subway Service Changes
Indeed, it’s true! The subway tunnel connecting Brooklyn and Manhattan, which was closed 13 months ago to repair damage caused by Hurricane Sandy, reopened last night, with an N train going through first (the N will take the tunnel on nights and weekends), and R trains resuming travel there this morning.
So enjoy that, and then look out for the following changes along local lines:

Late nights, 11:45pm to 5am, Monday to Friday, until September 19
No Coney Island-bound F service at B’way-Lafayette St, 2 Av, Delancey St, East Broadway, and York St.
