The Q Train Blues

Neighbor Kathy sent us this photo today of what turned out to be, as she wrote, “a looooong wait” this morning — about 35 minutes. Ugh.
We reached out to the MTA about what happened, and a spokesman told us that there was a track fire north of Lexington Avenue a little before 7am, causing extensive delays on the southbound Q and N lines.
That translated to whole lot of neighbors not being happy with the MTA this morning, and many of you took to Twitter to air your transit pain:
I could've been on time to work but waited on the platform for 25+ mins b/c the #QTrain is running on its own time! #UghBrooklyn #MTASucks

So, @MTA…has the Q train been cancelled and you just forgot to tell us? #BeverlyRoad

I guess according to the MTA, 30 minutes without a Q train during rush hour still counts as "good service".
