The Parade Ground Comfort Station Opens On Wednesday!

They said it would be completed this month, and they didn’t lie–the Prospect Park Alliance is holding a ribbon cutting ceremony this Wednesday, September 25 at 1pm for the spanking-new Parade Ground Comfort Station. Members of the Alliance will be joined by Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz, as well as Assemblymembers Rhoda Jacobs, Jim Brennan, and Joan Millman, all of whom helped finance the project. The NY City Council contributed funds as well.

We first learned about the Comfort Station, initially scheduled to open earlier this year, in Spring 2012–and we’re excited to see what they’ve done with the place. We have a feeling local athletes, parents, and parents of local athletes will be, too.
