‘The Knick’ Changes Filming Date To Friday
The Knick filming

Upcoming Cinemax series The Knick had been scheduled to film in the neighborhood today, but new signs up along 7th Avenue and St Johns Place now say that they’ll be filming tomorrow, Friday, November 15.

The 10-episode series, directed by Steven Soderbergh and starring Clive Owen, recently transformed the Lower East Side into early 1900s New York, and upset some Greenpoint residents when the production filled their streets — and, ultimately, their catch basins — with mud.

We’re not sure if they’ll be setting up any similar elaborate outdoor scenes, since when we passed by the Grace United Methodist Church on the corner today, it looked as though they were prepping the inside of the church — the same space where Orange Is The New Black filmed a couple weeks ago. But if you do see any interesting old-timey stuff going on around there tomorrow, send us pics at editor@bklyner.com.

Vehicles need to be moved from the block by 7pm today, Thursday, November 14. If you find your car has been relocated, contact Victoria at 917-407-0832.
