Another weekend, another pair of farmers’ markets. Today, head over to Grand Army Plaza (if you haven’t already — 8am-4pm), for samples, demonstrations, and, obviously, late-summer produce. Corn! Tomatoes! Peaches! More! As always, bring your scraps, both edible and wearable for composting/textile recycling.
Then tomorrow, the Park Slope Farmers Market takes over our weekend vegetable needs from 11am to 5pm. Brooklyn Oenology joins the usual roster of vendors tomorrow, which is great, because nothing compliments local produce like local wine (maybe?). Also, there’ll be deals at Brooklyn Cured (any 6 items and a free mini-cooler bag for $60) and Mortgage Apple Cakes ($1 off everything the hour before close).
