The Greenmarket Report: Fresh Fish & Salad Dressing
This weekend at our local markets, think about some creative ways to use up leftovers, and focus on some foods other than turkey.
Though the neighborhood may feel a little quiet as people are still out of town for Thanksgiving, pretty much all the regular farmers are expected to be at the Grand Army Plaza Greenmarket on Saturday, November 30, including Blue Moon Fish. And now that you’re probably over turkey for a while, finding a nice piece of fish that will pair well with whatever leftovers you’ve got in the fridge isn’t such a bad idea.
Then for even more leftovers inspiration, on Sunday, December 1 at the Park Slope Farmers Market, check out new vendor MOMO Dressing, which makes Japanese-style salad dressings that can help turn some of that roasted squash and piles of greens into something entirely new.
The GAP Greenmarket runs Saturdays from 8am-4pm at Grand Army Plaza. The Park Slope Farmers Market runs Sundays from 10am-4pm along 4th Street at 5th Ave.
