Are you ready to frolic? The Flatbush Development Corporation will be holding its 38th Annual Flatbush Frolic street festival this Sunday, September 15, from 12-6pm. Stretching down Cortelyou from Ocean Avenue to Coney Island Avenue, this year’s Frolic will include:

  • Rides for kids, merchandise from a diverse array of vendors, and food, food, food.
  • A special entertainment area for kids at the Tot Lot (corner of Cortelyou and Argyle Roads), featuring magic by neighbor Nathan Thompson, singing with Musical Explorers, crafts, experiments with Kiddie Science, and free karate, yoga, and gymnastics mini-classes with Midwood Martial Arts. Adults can also learn about HypnoBirthing from Gentle Birthing New York’s Sara Kramer, plus first aid and CPR for babies by Baby Be Safe.

For more information about the Frolic, you can call 718-859-3800. Traffic (including buses) will be rerouted away from Cortelyou for the event, so if you’re not sticking around, be sure to consider your route ahead of time.

If you’ll be attending the event, though, what are you most looking forward to?
