Today is shaping up to be a warmer day, with highs in the lower 40s, according to the National Weather Service. It’ll be rainy tomorrow too, but be sure to get out on Sunday and enjoy the sunny day with highs in the upper 40s.

  • Home sale prices in Brooklyn hit an 11-year record high in the fourth quarter of 2013, The Real Deal reported. The borough’s median home sale price increased by 11.2 percent – $570,110 from $512,500 in the same period last year – as outlined in the latest Douglas Elliman market report, released yesterday. Frank Percesepe of The Corcoran Group, which put together its own fourth-quarter sales report, told the site that the borough’s rising prices were driven by an increasingly tight inventory. Corcoran’s report noted that Fort Greene, Clinton Hill and Prospect Heights collectively saw average condo prices jump 38 percent to $689,000 from $499,000 in the fourth quarter of 2013.
