The Cortelyou Library Friends Present A New Book Drop Box

You might be as excited as this little guy* to learn that, thanks to neighbors including the Cortelyou Library Friends group, there is now a book drop box outside the Cortelyou Library! Laurie Davidson says:

After 2 years of hard work and generous donations from our neighbors, we can finally return books after hours. Farewell library late fees!

Extra thanks to Rebecca Scheer, Elisabeth Poole Parker and our fantastic library staff.

And Rebecca Scheer of the Friends group thanks all our neighbors and supporters who made the box happen through donations, raffles, and the group’s annual book sale.

We second third that. It’s not always feasible getting to the library during opening hours, and this will make it easier for us to get books back on time so our neighbors can read them. Thanks to everyone who contributed!

* Just kidding. Nobody has ever been as excited as that guy.
