Toy Drive at The Kensington shelter
When: Now until December 1.
Where: Online, or drop off items at 385 McDonald Avenue between Albermarle Road and Church Avenue, marked “Holiday toy drive, attention Uniquia Parker”.
What: The Kensington’s holiday toy drive has officially begun! In partnership with Park Slope Parents, the toy drive will serve the 85 children at the shelter. 66th Precinct Community Council meeting
When: Monday, November 21 at 7pm.
Where: Community Board 12 offices, 5910 Thirteenth Avenue between 59th and 60th streets in Borough Park.
What: At each meeting, 66th Precinct Commander Quick gives a run-down on current crime trends and conditions in the 66 Precinct, addresses key safety and security issues affecting our lives and community, and answers questions from the audience about its concerns and complaints, while his officers take notes. Reservoir Tags Comedy at Bar Chord
When: Monday, November 21 at 8pm.
Where: Bar Chord, 1003 Cortelyou Road between Coney Island Avenue and Stratford Road.

65Fen Live Music Series at Delroy’s in PLG

What: Check out solo lap steel musician Myk Freedman and the sax-bass-drum quartet Bearing Straight at the 65Fen Music Series hosted at PLG club Delroy’s.

Launch Party for Greenlight Bookstore Flatbush

What: Enjoy live jazz from LMW’s own RJ Johson and friends at the first installment of the wine shop’s monthly jazz series.

Blood Drive at the 70th Precinct
When: Wednesday, November 23 from 12:30pm to 6:00 pm.
Where: 154 Lawrence Avenue between Seton Place and Ocean Parkway.
What: Looking to donate something valuable this week? The New York Blood Center and the 70th Precinct will be holding a Blood Drive in honor of Detective Dillon Stewart, responding to the shortage of blood for patients in need throughout New York State, according to the precinct. Thanksgiving Pre-Fixe at The Farm
When: Thursday, November 24, 5 seatings throughout the day.
Where: The Farm on Adderley, 1108 Cortelyou Road
What: Looking for a traditional Thanksgiving without all the work and travel? The Farm is offering a three-course prix fixe for lunch and dinner. More information about seating times and menu here.
How much: $55 person, children’s menu available for $25.
Black Friday Hike: The Midwood Trail
When: Friday, November 25 from 1pm to 2:30pm.
Where: Meet at the Audubon Center at the Boathouse.
What: Step back in time with a walk through Brooklyn’s oldest remaining forest. The Midwood, home to some of Prospect Park’s largest trees, is a relic of Brooklyn’s history and was preserved and incorporated into the park during its original construction.

Post-Turkey Day Tour at Green-Wood
When: Friday, November 25 at from 1pm and 4pm.
Where: Green-Wood Cemetery.
What: After your turkey feasts, bring the whole family on a historic walking tour of the 478-acre Green-Wood cemetery, with its history and breathtaking views of Manhattan. Be sure to dress warmly, especially on the 4pm tour to enjoy dusk.
How Much: $10 for members of Green-Wood, $15 for non-members. Limited seating, book tickets in advance.
ASBC’s Buy Nothing Day Potluck Dinner
When: Friday, November 25 from 7pm to 9pm.
Where: 566 East 7th Street between Cortelyou Road and Ditmas Avenue.
What: This potluck tradition was Sustainable Flatbush and now continued by the All Souls Bethlehem Church, with the goal of bringing the community together in a consumerism-free zone on Black Friday. Hosted by Kim Barra.
How Much: Bring a dish that about six people can share.
Ali Dineen, Megg Farrell & The Four O’Clock Flowers at The Owl
When: Friday, November 25 at 8pm (doors at 7:30).
Where: The Owl Music Parlor, 497 Rogers Avenue between Midwood and Maple Streets.

What: Based on the hit kids television series, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, Daniel and all of his friends are hopping aboard Trolley to delight live audiences at the Kings Theater.

When: Sunday, November 27 from 12 pm to 4 pm.
Where: Lefferts Historic House in Prospect Park.
What: Holiday programming at Lefferts Historic House and the Audubon Center, including Nature Exploration (12–3pm); Bird Nerds Game Hour (1–2pm); Nature on the Go (2–3pm); Animal Encounter (3–3:30 pm); and Winter on a Flatbush Farm (1-4pm); and Paper Quilting from 1–3pm.
