Aside from election season, November is also the beginning of holiday pie season. And since we could really use some sweet thoughts this week, we’re looking ahead to our local Thanksgiving pie options to plan for the epic dessert course.

These local options are completely homemade — so you can have the from-scratch taste without spending all week in the kitchen. Check out this list below, ordered from most to least expensive.

Four and Twenty Blackbirds, 439 Third Avenue between 7th and 8th Streets: Love the pie slices at Lark Cafe — like Lemon Chess and Salty Honey? They’re made at the infamous Four & Twenty Blackbirds bakery in Gowanus, which sells whole pies for around $40. Make sure to reserve yours early, because they only take a limited number of pre-Thanksgiving orders. (718) 499 2917.
