Thanksgiving Day Bank Robbery?
Yesterday, as most families were finishing up cooking their Thanksgiving meals, TD Bank on may have been robbed.
TD Bank, located at 2173 86th Street, was blocked off with yellow police tape and several marked cars, emergency vehicles and police with machine guns surrounding it. At the scene, the cops were tight-lipped about what was going in.
One tipster who was there at about noon sent us this report:
I was just walking down 86th St and saw numerous squad cars, emergency service police vehicles, and the tactical force with helmets, shields and machine guns.
The TD Bank on the corner of 86th St and Bay Pkwy was covered with crime scene tape. I tried to ask what was going on but got no answer. It could be a possible robbery or attempted robbery.
The standoff lasted several hours, but little is known about what happened inside the bank, or thereafter. Where you there? Let us know what you saw.
